Winter Activities

The advantage of being in Dillon in the winter is that you can easily access any of the ski resorts, including hopping on the free bus to Keystone. If you’d rather grab something quick to go, Jersey Boys is always a good bet. In addition to skiing, in the winter Dillon is host to the Ice Castles which is a unique experience, especially at night.  You can Nordic ski or snowshoe at the Dillon Nature Preserve or Old Dillon Reservoir, both of which offer spectacular views. Visit the School House Museum to learn about the history of this area. 

Summer Activities

Dillon in the summer is all about enjoying everything that Lake Dillon has to offer. Whether you sail, kayak, motor boat, canoe or SUP there are numerous options to get out on the water.  The marina is a hub of activity with the boat ramp and rentals, plus the Tiki Bar where you can enjoy a meal and a drink with one of the best views in the county. There are 18 miles of paved bike path that loop around the lake to ride on a bike and enjoy the breath-taking views, or you can continue on the paths to other areas of the county and even over the pass to Vail.  The newly remodeled amphitheater has regular concerts with a setting that is one of a kind, overlooking the lake and the mountains. The Farmers Market is held every Friday, featuring local artists and products.
