Breckenridge

Authentic mountain ski town

Breckenridge has the special combination of a charming historic mining town and all its amenities, with a ski resort in its back yard. The access to both town and the ski area together make Breck a great place to be if you want easy access to all of the action in one place.  Breck has the highest concentration of restaurants and shopping, plus a thriving arts district, a non-stop events line up and the largest year-round population of full time residents in the county that all make it feel like a real town and not just a resort. Even in the summer Breck offers some of the best trail variety and access of any of the towns, and the summer event offerings will make sure you are never bored.  Breckenridge real estate offers a lot of different choices ranging from luxury ski-in-ski-out condos or homes, to Victorian style homes in the core of town, to more remote areas that offer more of a mountain cabin feel and environment

Winter Activities

Aside from the obvious access to world-class skiing at the resort, Breck also offers a range of events going on in the winter including a Santa Race, Ice Sculpture Competition, Ullr Fest, Banff Film Festival and more. There are two beautiful Nordic skiing centers to choose from, an alpine coaster, sleigh rides, dog sledding, and endless opportunities for backcountry access if you like to ski or snowshoe. If you’d rather stay indoors there are a range of art classes offered by BreckCreate, multiple theaters, museums, spas, and charming boutique shops to keep you busy.
