Whether you are in Summit County full time or part time, you are here because you want to live the mountain life. You want to get away from an ordinary existence, spend more quality time with family and friends, and share your adventures with them. Summit County has a lifetime of adventures to be found, and we are here to help you find them. Each area of Summit County has its own unique vibe and hidden secrets. Let us help you learn all the local spots and decide where you want your mountain home to be.
Summit County is famous for its skiing, and with good reason. We have easy access to our five local world-class resorts of Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper, Keystone and Loveland, plus Vail and Beaver Creek a short drive away. However skiing is not the only option in the winter and there is a long list of other ways to play outside in the snow, or have fun inside if cold weather is not your thing.
As the classic saying goes, “I came for the winter, but stayed for the summer.” While it’s true that Summit County is known to many for our snowy activities, the summer also offers a lot of great choices for fun in the mountains. Actually in the summer there is an even wider variety of ways to enjoy the outdoors, so the people are more spread out and a sense of peacefulness is even easier to find.
Giving back to this community that gives so much to us is a vital part of our life in the mountains. If you are ever looking for ways to get involved, contribute and meet people just ask us. There are so many opportunities to help those in need, but here are just a few organizations that we support regularly through sponsorships, board membership, volunteer time and of course donations:
provides grants and scholarships to a wide range of organizations throughout the area
Provides year-round adaptive outdoor sports opportunities to participants of all abilities
